What is Biblicalish?
Biblicalish is an online publication, focused on speaking truth centered in the Bible! Our mission is to improve Biblical literacy and apply that knowledge to the way we live! In other words, we want to speak accurately from God's Word, to apply it practically to life.
What does 'biblicalish' mean?
Often, we adopt ideas from the world around us that are culturally popular, but not biblically true. What we end up with are "biblicalish" views. We want Scripture to be our standard of truth, and so our emphasis is on understanding what's written (2 Timothy 2:15), applying it to our lives (James 1:22), and testing all things with Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:21). In doing this, we are able to decide what is biblical...what might just be biblical-ish.
Is your content biblical?
We hope so! We strive to answer questions in a way that is grounded in and centered on biblical teaching. Here's an overview of our content to give you a feel for what to expect:
Our content IS:
+ centered on and submitted to the authority of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16)
+ geared toward both biblical understanding and life application
+ approachable for anyone!
Our content is NOT:
- a substitute for reading Scripture yourself (Psalm 1:2, Matthew 4:4)
- a substitute for teaching and discipleship within the local church (Hebrews 13:17)
- infallible (unable to be wrong)—we're human after all! (Isaiah 40:8)
